At 20 years old, DannyLux brought his Tour of Lux to Dallas, TX, marking another milestone in his meteoric rise from a bedroom TikTok singer to a globally recognized artist. Before his fame, DannyLux’s journey began with humble covers on social media. Most notably, he caught the attention of Eslabón Armando, the mastermind behind the chart-topping hit “Ella baila Sola” featuring Peso Pluma, a track that revolutionized Mexican Regional music.
Before the evening began, I discovered an incredible opportunity to meet the star of the show before his performance. Without hesitation, I upgraded my tickets and eagerly awaited for the moment when I would be escorted in to meet DannyLux. Meeting him in person was an unexpected delight. The warm embrace and genuine connection he created with fans during the meet and greet revealed a humble and caring side rarely seen in artists nowadays. To my surprise, he even gifted us signed articles, a gesture that spoke volumes about his appreciation for his supporters.
Before taking the stage, we were treated to two different opening acts that piqued my interest with their heartfelt sierreno melodies.
Seventeen-year-old Salim Gutierrez, also known as MILAS, took the stage first, accompanied by $BZ that night, consisting of Luis Jimenez, Aurelio Flores, and Emiliano Valdez, all aged 18, along with the remarkably talented 14-year-old Cesar Reyna on the bajoloche. It marked their debut live performance, and the young performers were not only thrilled to showcase their talent in their hometown but also to entertain the large crowd that eagerly awaited their performance. They delivered soul-stirring corridos that resonated with the audience, proving that age is no barrier to musical brilliance. Their talent and potential were undeniable, and I have no doubt they’ll be making waves in the music scene.
Next, we were serenaded by Erre, whose smooth guitar licks and heartfelt lyrics transported us to a world of love and longing. Erre had the crowd swaying and singing along, proving that sometimes, the best music comes straight from the heart. He was such a delight and I was so glad to have discovered a new favorite artist of mine that night.
And then, it was time for the main event. As DannyLux took to the stage, the energy in the room soared to new heights. With his infectious charisma and genuine connection to the audience, he had us all eating out of the palm of his hand. From taking videos on fan’s phone of his POV on stage to signing memorabilia thrown onto the stage, his generosity knew no bounds. And let’s not forget the music – from heart-wrenching ballads to high-energy house beats, he had us on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.
In a world filled with fleeting fame and superficiality, DannyLux stands as a beacon of authenticity and artistry, reminding us all of the transformative power of music and the enduring connection it fosters between artist and audience.
