21-year old Estevie kicked off her Texas tour in Dallas, TX, hitting up other cities like Austin, San Antonio, and Houston throughout the week. Captivating the audience effortlessly, she evoked a range of emotions, from the infectious energy of her vibrant cumbias to the heartfelt longing conveyed in her ballads. Following her performance, I had the opportunity to interview Estevie about her tour and future plans.
INTERVIEW:
I: You’re going to be at SXSW and opening up for Christian Nodal, how excited are you about that?
E: Oh my goodness, I’m so excited! I still can’t believe I’m opening up for Christian Nodal, it’s a dream of mine come true because he’s one of my idols. I’ve been wanting to work with him for the longest time and to finally see some of my dreams coming true is kinda crazy to me. I’ve been working on my career for the longest time, it makes me happy seeing things coming true.
I: Any new projects this year?
E: Well I have an EP coming up, new music always. I’m trying to put out as much music as possible and keep growing and performing to keep getting better at my craft, become a better artist everyday. I got some collabs coming soon, so stay tuned!
I: Who’s your ultimate dream collab?
E: *Laughs mischievously* Honestly it’s always been Christian Nodal.
I: What’s your favorite part of touring?
E: I think my favorite part of touring and shows , is having to interact with fans, getting to see and experience the crowd is like no other feeling in the world. Being face to face with everyone and interacting for a brief moment.
I: You interact so much and I love that because when an artist interacts it actually means you care about your fans.
E: I mean y’all are right there I have to interact, I’m not gonna ignore y’all and sing my songs. I have to see what’s up with y’all.
After engaging with Estevie and witnessing her stage performance, viewing her though the eyes of a fan (lol get it) deepened the sense of connection with her. Attending her show is a delight, as she consistently engages with the audience, harmonizing with them and captivating everyone with her charming dance moves. Estevie’s definitely on track to be the next big thing in Latino music, and we’re rooting for her to climb those charts soon! Thank you Estevie for your dedication and talent.
